DIRECTOR


Rubén Navarro (Málaga, Spain, 08/21/1982) is an award winning Film Director based in Los Angeles. His short film “Of Hearts and Castles” has been awarded 9 times in 57 official selections around the world, including Oscar Qualifying Palm Springs Shortfest or Outfest LGBTQ Los Angeles. He is also a highly experienced editor, he edited the show “East of La Brea” (premiered at SXSW) and an episode of "Acapulco" (AppleTV), and he is currently editing a Spanish feature film "Marco Polo". He has also worked in post-production for companies such as Netflix or FOX and is a 2018 Film Independent Project Involve Fellow. He is currently developing the feature film based on his short film “Of Hearts and Castles”. “Masaru” (2022) and "i am" (2022) are his fourth and fifth short films as a director, after “Of Hearts and Castles” (2020), “In Tune With You” (2012) and “Monsters of the Night” (2015).
